最近在Amazon申請了100+個職缺，他們採用電話面試，題目很簡單，可是對於我這種英文不好的人很吃力。

以下是Amazon Prime職位第一次面試經典笑話
最好笑的是他們叫我把程式念出來，怎麼念法？
int main() { ->
int main ....幹這三個符號怎麼念

然後他問，你程式前面不用加什麼嗎？
我就問了老半天，他說Java都有Import...
我心想說...C又不是Java...iostream不會自己來喔...
#include<iostream> ->
pound include less than iostream larger than
using namespace std; ->
using namespace std semicolumn

不過後來我有到第二關面試
又是一些演算法和分散系統的問題

我連這三個符號的中文念法都不太會了，還英文咧~~

就是說嘛...所以我被電爆啦，我最近面試一堆公司，都覺得他們是平常工作太累，拿我們開開玩笑，Google問了一題密碼學+作業系統+演算法+計算機架構+資料庫的，我瞬間就爆了orz

That's how majority of large corporations do during first phone interview - grill you to hell.

Personally I don't agree with this type of tactics. It's pointless during the first phone interview. Ask 'light' questions to gauge at least that they know the basics is ideal. Then, maybe second phone interview with more team members. Perhaps just bring them in face-to-face with all involved team members and ask in-depth questions and go from there.

I don't know much about development... but finding a person with awesome tech skills but no personal skills actually is bad in sysadmin department. I've seen sysadmins with senior-level knowledge but still works as junior due to lack-there-of personal skills.

One of my good friend from high school used to work for Amazon. He loved it. Think he was there for 3 or 4yrs and worked his way to senior developer. Good lucks to all those are looking.

對了，只是順便一下，Amazon是大公司面試最不友善的XD

Google用電話+Google Doc，過2~3後會到面試
Microsoft用電話+Live Messenger，過了會面試
Bloomberg用線上限時快答+電話面試，過了會面試
Intel用電話討論背景後，過了會面試

基本上面試好像都是有機票
PS.Amazon只要過三關電話就可以了！不過沒有辦法用打字方式彌補英文不好...

哈哈 學校都沒教符號怎麼念, 我們之前公司的人也在討論那些符號怎麼念 有些老美其實自己也不知道

因為我是寫程式的, 我列出了一些基本常會需要知道的講法... hope it helps!

() -- > parentheses
{} -- > braces, or sometimes the programmers would call this "squirrly braces/brackets" 因為抖抖的
/ -> slash
\ --> backslash
& --> ampersand
! --> bang
>> ---> chevron
' --> single quote
" --> double quote
[] --> brakcet
* --> asterisk
~ --> tilde or tilda
